Principles first. Equations second.

Technical education for engineers, students and practitioners who want to understand vehicle dynamics more clearly.

Wavey Dynamics currently offers one formal course: Vehicle Dynamics Fundamentals. It is designed for people who want to build a stronger working understanding of how vehicles behave.

The course is not built around heavy mathematics or abstract theory. Equations are used where they help, but the emphasis is on physical principles, clear explanation and functional engineering application.

Current Course

Vehicle Dynamics Fundamentals

A structured course covering the fundamental principles of vehicle dynamics for high-performance road and race vehicles. Students work through course materials at their own pace, with targeted 1-to-1 sessions available to consolidate understanding.

The course covers tyres, weight transfer, wheel loading, cornering, suspension, aerodynamics, modelling and real-world vehicle behaviour. Each topic is explained in a relatable, practical way, with emphasis on the engineering meaning behind the concept rather than equations for their own sake.

The aim is simple: help you understand what the car is doing, why it is doing it, and how engineering decisions influence the outcome.

Seminars & Speaking

Alongside our formal course offering, Wavey Dynamics is available for seminars, talks and speaking engagements where our experience can help communicate technical ideas clearly.

Sessions can be shaped around motorsport engineering, vehicle dynamics, race engineering, tyre behaviour, performance development, engineering careers and the realities of working in high-performance environments.

These sessions are suited to universities, student groups, industry audiences, race teams and organisations looking to make technical subjects more accessible, practical and connected to real engineering work.

Who It’s For

Our teaching and speaking work is for people who want to understand vehicle behaviour and performance engineering more clearly.

How We Teach

The teaching style is principle-led and application-focused. Concepts are explained in plain technical language, then connected to real vehicle behaviour and engineering decisions.

The objective is not to memorise formulae. It is to develop the kind of understanding that helps you interpret what a vehicle is doing and make better technical choices.
